The News... Happy Thanksgiving!!

We want to hear about your tournament results.

*Joe getting results by tearing through the money bubble in the 2023 Seniors event at the WSOP.

If you have discussed poker with me to any extent, you will have heard me implore you (or someone within earshot) to celebrate (or learn a lesson from) the decisions that you make at the card table rather than the results of a hand or tournament. While I believe this is good advice, it doesn't make for the most interesting content.

That said, I would like to start sharing our groups positive results here. If you cash or win a tournament outside of our Tuesday game, shoot me a line (and maybe a photo) and I would like to share it with the group. I have seen our members' skill levels improve and I believe seeing some results could help to further motivate learning, improving, and taking opportunities to play other tournaments.

I think I will have a results section as needed going forward.

Instead of a video, today I am posting an article on mindset. All too often we are put on a long term tilt by variance. Variance runs both ways (a sun run on the positive side and a downswing on the negative).

The important thing to remember is letting these emotions figure into our decisions leads us to the "It doesn't matter anyway, it all comes down to a flip" mentality that we are sometimes exposed to when witnessing long term tilt from a downswing.

These pros go over how to handle this negative noise in our heads.
